Award-winning authors and storytellers Gina Armstrong and Victoria Vancek are hitting the road! Join us as we visit all 25 Fraser Valley Regional Library branches, sharing spine-tingling tales and captivating campfire stories in a special storytelling series you won’t want to miss.



Pitt Lake Sasquatch Walk

REGISTRATION STARTS MARCH 3rd, Pitt Meadows Parks & Rec Guide

Sunday, 12 April 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Saturday, 13 June 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Step into the serene beauty of Pitt Lake, where tranquility meets mystery! Wander along three scenic, easy-to-walk trails.  Listen to chilling tales of UFO encounters, Sasquatch sightings, and eerie legends tied to the region. Fee:  $23.00

Meet at Pitt Lake parking lot of the Grant Narrows Regional Park, Pitt Meadows


Kanaka Creek Creature Walk

Saturday, 16 May 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Register through the Maple Ridge Program Guide.

Hear about early communities, Indigenous traditions, and eerie sightings that have shaped the area's reputation.  From forgotten history to supernatural folklore, this guided walk reveals the secrets that linger near our waterways and along forested trails not only in this region but throughout Canada.  Fee:  $22.00

Location: Kanaka Creek Regional Park has 3 parking lots.  Please note we are NOT meeting at Cliff Falls or the Bell-Irving Hatchery.  Our meeting point is along River Road at the Fraser Riverfront parking area.


The Language of Stones & Shadows - Maple Ridge Cemetery Walk

Saturday, 6 June 6:00pm - 7:30pm

This guided walk explores the rich history of the Maple Ridge Cemetery, age-old burial superstitions, and fascinating folklore that lingers among the graves.  Learn about the symbolic meanings behind cemetery trees, while discovering the traditions and tales that shaped these sacred grounds.  Fee:  $22.00
